"First Monday in May" Film at The Loft Cinema

When the worlds of art and fashion collide, there is a moving force to be reckoned with. That world is The Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual Ball. The MET Gala's spring 2015 exhibition, “China: Through the Looking Glass,” was a majestic fantasy brought to life through the eyes of MET Costume Curator and creative visionary Andrew Bolton, and documented by filmmaker Andrew Rossi. Finally, we can get a glimpse into the moving parts of this tradition, and a behind-the-scenes view that makes all of us feel the emotion of what it takes to pull together the most anticipated fashion event of spring in New York City.

I was fortunate to be in NYC last spring when the exhibition was on display. The inventive imagination, encircling beauty, craftsmanship, and meticulous attention to every last detail of everything—and I mean everything—within those walls was so incredible and breathtaking, it almost brought me to tears. The film First Monday in May is making its Arizona premiere at The Loft Cinema in Tucson, on Monday, April 18th at 7:30 pm. Purchase your tickets here; you won't want to miss this exclusive screening!

*This event is brought to The Loft Cinema through Film Fest Tucson and Tucson Fashion Week, and is Sponsored by Baker + Hesseldenz.
